Cabbages provide us with a large amount of vitamins, minerals and nutrients that are essential for our body.

There are many varieties of cabbage, four of which are particularly noteworthy:

Galàpet cabbage: Suitable for boiling and stuffing.

Paperina del Vallès cabbage: Mild and sweet flavour, highly prized in Catalan cuisine and very rich in minerals and vitamins.

Green Col Manresana: More intense flavour.

Col from La Cerdanya: Intense and balanced flavour. Very popular for cooking the typical Catalan dish, Trinxat de la Cerdanya, boiled with potatoes and sautéed together in a pan.
