Neulas

Neules are a very old traditional sweet, with references dating back to the 13th century. Cylindrical in shape, they are a sweet and crispy product made from a rolled dough of eggs, sugar, milk, butter, flour, and vanilla. A special tool called a "neuler" is needed to make them. Currently, neules are being studied for Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG) status.
