Fig "Lady's neck" from Alguarie

This large, fleshy fruit, purple on the outside and deep red on the inside, has a particularly sweet flavour. Lady's neck figs are the most prized variety in Spanish cuisine. They are best eaten raw, paired with cheese, wine and desserts, although they are also used in cooking.
